It doesn't matter whether they are routable or not; it isn't a fqdn and
so should be rejected due to reject_non_fqdn_helo_hostname.

The whole point of these checks is that a legitimate smtp server should
know its hostname, and that hostname should be correct.  If you can get
around that by just giving a literal IP address ( that doesn't even
match the one you are connecting from ), then that's an epic fail.
