You have explained several times that postscreen has nothing to do with
SASL authentication and that this is a matter for the SMTP daemon. This
is now crystal clear. When I said ‘postscreen settings’, I meant the
whole block that I added to the configuration for this. So not just the
line that directly addresses postscreen. At this point I was apparently
imprecise in my wording. I apologise for that.

I have not made any configuration in my main.cf file in this regard, but
there are the configurations you mentioned for SASL authentication in
the master.cf file. I didn't need to set ‘-o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=no’
for smtpd as this is the standard and doesn't need to be added here.

Nevertheless, thank you for your explanations and the patience you have
shown for me at this point.
