Hey. First please note that I'm no expert!
But I use spamhaus in rspamd. It has the advantage that it can be used as scoring, some of the lists are not suitable for blindly blocking. As I understand it, you can potentially save a few cpu cycles if you use postfix directly and therefore block the connection a bit earlier in the process. Unless you have a very busy server I don't think it will be an issue. If you plan to just block and not have rspamd to do extra work I think postfix directly makes sense, otherwise I would choose rspamd. And as I understand it, there are many different setups, and most of them makes the respective owners happy. ;-) BR Danjel On 23 March 2025 16:16:44 CET, "lutz.niederer--- via Postfix-users" <postfix-users@postfix.org> wrote: >Hi! > >spamhaus and abusix have a query limit for free accounts. spamhaus does not >seem to be a problem but abusix is 5000 queries/day. postfix as well as rspamd >can query them. > >postfix or rspamd: which one should be used to query them and why? > >Thanks! >-lutzn > >_______________________________________________ >Postfix-users mailing list -- postfix-users@postfix.org >To unsubscribe send an email to postfix-users-le...@postfix.org
