Let me begin with the important point: In the following case the part "returned to sender" is wrong, cause there is no sender ;-)
postfix/qmgr: 4YKKdF3Jf0z40r2: from=<>, status=expired, returned to sender
So I'm suggesting to reword it to "removing" (cause that's what's happening in the next step).
And while you're at it :-) you could also rephrase it for all other cases to "retur*ning* to sender", cause when this line is written, the message wasn't sent yet (or was it?).
