perfect note. It's quite hard to configure properly, luckily you can get
sane defaults on e.g. Debian.
I have configured this into /etc/fail2ban/jail.local
[DEFAULT]
ignoreip = 195.80.174.185
loglevel = DEBUG
[postfix]
enabled = true
mode = aggressive
it should be enough for start you may want to adapt it to your e.g. firewall
or syslog structure.
