There were often problems with the -s they use.  Especially before
they started running tests .. i have not encountered anything
since then.  I reported several -s related things over the last
nine or so years, crashes, but also very bad performance.
I think they would be happy about a report if a change fixes the
issue.

(I once was even barked at by Howard Chu because of a reproducible
LMDB crash i reported, also to this list here i think, which then
went away after an update, .. but there were no code changes in
the according function.  (Luckily i had discovered that before
i did anything else, so i think he believed me.))
