It's a nonsensical remark by B.P. anyway. Official Gentoo ebuilds for Postfix exist, as they have for many years. This includes both stable and experimental Postfix releases (versions 3.8.4 and 3.9_pre20240109 at the time of me writing this). These ebuilds are very well maintained and usually follow Wietse's releases within 1-3 days.
