Many decennia ago, in RFC 821, and perhaps earlier, the solution
to avoid email error notification loops was to send such messages
with a NULL envelope sender address.
Postfix still does that to this day when it generates a notification.
I can only wish thet the rest of the email ecosystem was as thoughtful.
