Hello,

i try to create a small policy server as a bash script. The script is alsmost done and is working.
the only problem i have is the correct reply to postfix.

http://www.postfix.org/SMTPD_POLICY_README.html shows:
The policy server replies with any action that is allowed in a Postfix SMTPD access(5) table. Example:
action=defer_if_permit Service temporarily unavailable
[empty line]

In my bash-script i try to answer with:
echo -n -e "action=OK\n\n"
or
printf "action=OK\n\n"
or
echo action=OKecho
.
.
But nothing seems to be the correct way and so i run into timeout and a Server configuration problem. I do not find the correct way of answering. Please can somebody give a hint what else to try?

Thanks,
Andre
