When mail is inbound and is spam, it gets flagged as spam by spam assassin, and becomes addressed to , with recipient_delimiter, user+s...@example.com
Then postfix delivers the mail. If the user has vacation set, then vacation sends a response email TO: the original sender (who is in all likelihood a spammer) FROM: user+s...@autoreply.example.com
I'd like to be able to stop the sending of these messages (as there's no need to validate the email address, and to avoid any potential backscatter).
That answer what's missing? Rick
