In http://www.postfix.org/virtual.5.html I don't see the at-sign:

       The  virtual-alias.domain anything entry is required for a

Listing a bare domain name in virtual_alias_maps makes it a virtual_alias_domain. I believe you already have the domain listed in relay_domains. Don't list the domain in both places.

From your earlier description, it seems the domain should be listed only in relay_domains.
