By "virtual mail domains" do you mean virtual alias domains or virtual mailbox domains? I assume you mean the former. > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > that all works fine, BUT, mail server for domainAAA.tld is going to be > transferred away from here to msexchange server at users' own location, > and, domainAAA.tld MX will be pointing at the msexchange server > > then, any mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] will end up on this > server as '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' mailbox (that is no longer here) If the MX for domainAAA.tld points elsewhere, then your virtual alias to [EMAIL PROTECTED] should direct mail to the appropriate MX. This should happen automatically. Just to be sure (and in case mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] arrives at your server during the initial move), you could setup a transport(5) map to direct all such mail to the new MX. As for deleting the defunct domainAAA.tld mailboxes -- that's entirely up to you. -- Sahil Tandon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
