Sorry for my previous *incomplete* post but it was sent by mistake. The /etc/services didn't have any smtps entry. Hence I added as below ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #smtps 465/tcp # eMail Server smtps 465/tcp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````~~`` Now I don't have the "smtps:,Servname not supported for ai_socktype" error :-) but when using smtps I got can't connect to smtp server :-( I'm looking into it so that I can collect the error messages from log. In between if you give me any hints it would be really helpful.
