I opted for another solution: Installed the pkgsrc of db4 then rebuilt cyrus against that then rebuilt postfix against all of that. saslpasswd creates the file in /usr/pkgsrc/etc and since 'etc' was not created during install, it also failed to create users. Now everything is happy.-JD
