So a few other details I've grabbed didn't provide yesterday-
These numbers don't seem to add up.
 My big question is how do I get this system upgraded without breaking it?

postconf -d | grep mail_version
mail_version = 2.4.5

and also

rpm -qa | grep postfix
postfix-2.3.3-2.el5.centos.mysql_pgsql
postfix-pflogsumm-2.3.3-2
