What's the scoop on the MySQL port these days?
It's being replaced with mariadb.
I knew it was happening *some* day, and with the note here:
http://www.openbsd.org/56.html
about MySQL 5.1.73 and 5.6, and that the tree is on 5.6-current I should
have read between the lines.
Well, we weren't completely blind-sided by it:
<http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=140848303029318&w=2>
<http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=141078206431498&w=2>
OTOH, I know how hard it is to keep up with everything on the list. I
only know because I was paying particularly close attention, and because
I mostly run -current.
In any event, I'm happy to see the back-side of MySQL,and offer my
thanks to the developers/porters for making the switch a reality.
