I have some sparc64 border smtp servers on a moderately busy domain. All run a mid-December -current. Checking the clamav archives it seemed pretty clear that this is a [well] known bug. The solution was to add --external to the clamav-milter invocation and run clamd too. Since then it's solid and we have seen no problems.
