and don't forget about PORTSDIR_PATH if you want your ports in
mystuff/ to override ports in the tree.
I have this in /etc/mk.conf
PORTSDIR_PATH=${PORTSDIR}/mystuff:${PORTSDIR}
it defaults to ${PORTSDIR}:${PORTSDIR}/mystuff
