Some time ago there was a discussion about issues with some of these
plugins and LMS 7.9. As I understood it the API in 7.9 had changed, and
the 'full text search' plugin and these plugins use different APIs.
Whichever got in first won the day (ie got the API it wanted).

I certainly had problems, and disabled the 'full text search' plugin to
get round it. On re-enabling that plugin the problem had still gone
away so all seemed well. Later I had cause to upgrade the Operating
System (tricky stuff this - either you do no updates at all, or keep up
to date - both have problems!) so I did a re-installation and things
went wrong again.

Now I may have this all wrong, but earlier Erland said he was doing some
fixes for this issue, but 7.9 is still (to this day) not the 'official'
LMS, so he can't be expected to keep up with beta changes - and I fully
understand that.

I am now trying with the current plugins and 'full text search' again.
On enabling the Erland alpha/beta repos I've not yet seen any updates.

So I'd just like to have some idea of what the situation is.
