I don't think this is a problem with your computers or setup. I've seen
a few strange things: I was using blocking sockets to send the audio
frames (these are UDP) but it seems that, some of the lost frames I was
observing were due to lost packet at the sender level (there is a
re-send mechansim that was working, though). When playback was
interrupted on my system, a "send" was blocking for more than a second
(which is really strange, as I send them at the real time pace and our
logs confirmed that no overrun/overflow occured). Anyway, I've moved to
non blocking sockets and a proper of socket 'write' availaibility check,
and with that I've been able to play hours now and no interruptioj nor
lost frame (no need to re-send them), so maybe that's a solution
(although I don't like when I don't understand)
