This business of what bit rate is available seems rather odd. On Radio 3 and Radio 4 (the only two I have looked at) the BBC iPlayer flash client indicates that the stream is 320 kbps, HDS from the limelight server. That usually (but not always) tallies with the bandwidth I measure with a utility.
I've just looked at what seems to be available for HLS and DASH for Radio 3, using the BBC's AOD availability link and then the mediaselector links given: The DASH stream has two "Adaption Sets" - one giving a min/max of 128/320 kbps (perhaps for UK users?) and one giving a min/max of 48/96 kbps (perhaps for non-UK users?) But the HLS stream only has 128 kbps available. (Forgive me if I am talking nonsense as I am not very knowledgeable and am feeling my way.) Touch, Meridian G92, Meridian G55, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows 7, iPad 4, iPeng, Squeezepad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JohnB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
