Hiya, I'm not sure if this has been said before but I came across Muso and thought I'd try it on my XP Netbook and see how it looked... Entered my server's hostname (buttercup.gerph.org) into the box and tried to connect - and failed. From the logs:
---- 1: Ping buttercup.gerph.org at 00:00:57 1: . Success SS:SSAPI start SS:sEP 2001:470:1f09:1dae::1,9090 SS:ip=2001:470:1f09:1dae::1 SS:ep=2001:470:1f09:1dae::1:9090 SS:SSAPI end 1: Testing... SS:socket connection 2001:470:1f09:1dae::1:9090 SS:connex:An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used 2001:470:1f09:1dae::1:9090 1: Connection Failed ---- That is indeed a correct address for buttercup, but not the one that squeeze server listens on - it only listens on the IPv4 address. I have buttercup configured to return IPv6 and IPv4 addresses, eg: ---- justin@buttercup:~$ host buttercup.gerph.org buttercup.gerph.org has address 192.168.0.100 buttercup.gerph.org has IPv6 address 2001:470:1f09:1dae::1 ---- Entering the IPv4 address into the box directly (ie 192.168.0.100) connects properly and appears to work. Hopefully that will help anyone else who has issues connecting - although if you're using IPv6 you probably know enough to be able to find the problem yourself. -- gerph ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gerph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1819 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
