If using the Classic then you are using the plugin. main causes of rebuffering when using iPlayer - bad stream from BBC or ISP problem - if SB player and or server uses wifi possible network issues. - server overload if playing a format that needs processing
If plugin is not up to date - it's possible there was an issue which a new version fixed. For the moment, leave the version as is and update only when all other possibilities are checked. No point changing too many things at once. BBC MP3 and AAC stream can be transported using Flash which needs help from your server. As a test, I suggest changing the plugin setting to play WMA format for both live and "Listen Again" as SB classic can play WMA native - the WMA format will effectivly bypass server so if you still have rebuffering then problems is probably your local/wifi network but could also be BBC issue (which can happen if there is local maintenance by BBC service partner).
