vagskal and Andrew -- thanks for your help. I am really struggling to
keep up with all of the terminology (yet alone the technology!). Please
continue to bear (pun intended) with me.

Andrew, I believe I am connecting (MC15 through Whitebear to the
Squeeze system) via the "DLNA Server." But based on your comments in
your last post, here's what I did:

Tools>Options>Media Network>DLNA Server:

A)... Conversion ... was "Convert unsupported formats" ... I changed
this to "never convert"

B)... Encoder ... was "MP3 high bandwidth stream" ... I changed to
"Uncompressed stream" (although I also tried uncompressed stream - L16
- no header"

Now when I open Squeezebox Server by opening "web control":

1)... the music stream is still being recognized as a Internet Radio
station (and the Touch's display shows the subdued gray radio antenna
icon). Is this normal? I'm sorry to repeat my question from my earlier
post but I don't know whether the Touch should be showing the album
cover art/metadata/etc.

2)... but now the browser shows the stream as being FLAC (not MP3).So
this is a step in the right direction! The browser identifies the
stream as "http://MyComputerIPAddress/MyMusicFolder/Fxxxxx.flac"; with
the same radio antenna beacon -- so metadata here either.

BTW, I am invoking the streaming process by right-clicking on the music
files I want to hear, then selecting "add to playing now." Is this the
best way?

So I guess my questions basically boil down to what to expect in the
way of cosmetics (display of cover art and metadata, etc.) and how to
get to there from here?

Thank you again for you help and all the work that you've put into
this.

Dave
