The information in the status page shows that my install is using the "SqueezeCenter" folder Bonze;339781 Wrote: > You should only have a "SqueezeCentre" folder, the "SlimServer" one > probably only contains all your old plugins and a few items in a "Bin" > folder - from 6.5. > > AlienBBC should install in SqueezeCentre\server\Plugins. > Along with mplayer.exe in SqueezeCentre\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread > Today 21:04 I've checked and AlienBBC plugin is in SqueezeCentre\server\Plugins\Alien but the mplayer.exe is in SqueezeCentre\[b]server\[b]Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread I'm assuming that is the correct place you meant? agbagb;339781 Wrote: > *Under XP* the Alien Plugin needs to be directed to install here: > > "C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins\Alien" I'm running Vista > As I understand it, your SLIMSERVER folder in PROGRAM FILES is > redundant, replaced by SQUEEZECENTER, its new brand name under Logitech > ownership. I renamed my SLIMSERVER folder to xSLIMSERVER just to check > it wasn;t needed at all before finally deleting it. Good idea, I'll try that. I also have an iMac, would there be any benefit running from that instead of Vista? After another install & reboot (didn't appear before rebooting PC) AlienBBC is now listed in my Settings/Plugins and also lists on my Squeezebox3. Unfortunately it won't connect to the streams, but that's something I'm going to tweak with before asking for any more help. Thanks for the help everyone, Mark. -- Mark Ward ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Ward's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10320 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51992 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
