Under XP the Alien Plugin needs to be directed to install here:
"C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins\Alien" As I understand it, your SLIMSERVER folder in PROGRAM FILES is redundant, replaced by SQUEEZECENTER, its new brand name under Logitech ownership. I renamed my SLIMSERVER folder to xSLIMSERVER just to check it wasn;t needed at all before finally deleting it.
