Opening UPnP on a router is, usually at least, unrelated to using UPnP
to serve music.
The "U" for Universal is to show that they are trying to enable a lot of
different things with a common protocol.
For your music it is UPnP-AV (Audio Video).
For your router it is UPnP-IGD (Internet Gateway Device) (not sure it
really has this name).

Leaving IGD disabled will not stop your music plus it is generally
thought to be a good thing to do unless you have a very specific need
for it.
