been there done that and i was not even fully paid. i found it easier
dealing with people from europe and north america. they pay up front
and they already use software i know well and are familiar with my
methods.

in my experience traditional institutions want traditional methods.
they want face to face meetings, specifications, user acceptance
testing and they want to deal with companies with a long track record.
they will ask how many employees you have! good luck!

open source cant work that way. its better to do what you are good at
and people will find you. usually these are people who are in forums
and mailing lists. start a blog. if they want a cheap and effective
solution they will find you. there are millions of businesses on the
internet and somebody somewhere needs your services.

there is a growing network of internet savvy businesses who get things
done quicker and cheaper. thats where the money is.
