We buy Supermicro brand servers. Their rack-mount servers starts at 80K
locally.
But if you friend will send cash, those unbranded/generic.locally-assembled
boxes would be a cheap alternative. Just go for a high-end motherboard and
processor, and large power supply if you're going to put in lots of hard disks.
