I'm not sure about this because I haven't personally tried it. Anyway, according to the article, if we have a mere 300GB read/write cycles per day(which is actually way beyond our average), our disk may last 12 years. That is good enough for me, knowing that new technologies would come every year or so. [And doing a SATA 1 raid + backup to ensure data].
