Yah, i was really skeptical when they referred to it as a "leased line"; afaik
it's akin to having physical copper cable between point A to point B. i guess
these kids today have redefined the term "leased line" B)

Hmmm...will look into that. Thanks B)
Just an update: i set up a web server and did the usual http download from
Hong Kong; apparently we're hitting 1Mbps+ . This is quite different from the
numbers i'm getting from iperf(bug?). i downloaded and recompiled iperf with
--disable-threads(there's a note about having to apply a patch for kernel
2.6.31 and higher, but since threads are disabled i didn't bother with it), but
still getting the same numbers. i got suspicious when iperf reported that the
link was hitting 123bits/sec; sa isip ko lang if we were really going that
slow, the users would have been out for blood.
i managed to set up the speedtest.net mini app and did some tests with Hong
Kong, as a tiebreaker.
