Yes. Specially if the laptop is Windows preinstalled, they wont troubleshoot any hardware issues. One good thing about DELL is they troubleshoot from BIOS only. So on OS doesn't come in to picture which is a big Plus point. > There are few options offered by Dell, but the hardware configuration they > offer is pathetic (don't have HDMI port, and just 1 USB 3.0 port). Not sure if Lenovo still sells ThinkPad's with FreeDOS. But 1 thing for sure, most Linux distro's support hw of all ThinkPad's as most developers choice is ThinkPad overseas. > search tells me that there are issues with wireless card support in those > laptops for Linux. Stick to Intel chipset i.e. graphics,wi-fi,Ethernet & of course Intel processor. If you are going for SSD, ensure that your Slack version is supporting that particular SSD. Lastly opt for 3 years warranty instead of 1. > > Thanks, > Atul. > > _______________________________________________ > plug-mail mailing list > plug-mail@plug.org.in > http://list.plug.org.in/listinfo/plug-mail > >
