Indeed. I have an N900 lying around (currently use an HTC HD7 with WP7 *gasp*) and it is a little underpowered and the resistive touchscreen is not so great (for touch), otherwise it is an awesome device. I was really amazed that it could barely run an enterprise class middleware piece of Java software called "GemFire" which I work on: http://lahsiv.net/blog/?p=48 not to mention being debian based.
