I'll try to get a domain name, but I'd like to know if it is possible to run a mailing list off a static IP. I want to do some testing before going all-out, and prior to getting a domain and everything, I want to make it work the way I want it to, so that later, when I present the thing to the people concerned as a proof-of-concept, it will be a completely working system. And how expensive is a domain name?
