I switched to WRT54GL and it worked out of the box within 5 minutes ....! Just specified ACNAME's value in service name field. I didn't have to flash. But the fact that I can get alternative f/w gives a lot of comfort which wasn't there with WRT54G v7 I had earlier. Thanks everyone for the help.
