Thanks for bringing up the issue, I have smae porblem
in MDK10.1, But I didnt care as I was gona install
Mandriva2006 in very near future. But my linux is
getting slower by the day. Being Novice I ignore such
probs.

I use to curse MS in past for same prob and knew it
was due to MS Registry file swelling up. Hence I was
happy after I heard that in Linux there is no Registry
file that would swell up eating memory.

But I am writing this to thank you. Because of U I
know about Genome System Monitor. I killed two
Evolution mega processes, that sped up things a bit. I
am not using evolution Yet its eating up 100s of MB
memory ?

There are other processes eating large amounts of
memory that I have no idea about ?
