I got the answer, I googled for it & I got a page on linuxquestions.org which gave me the answer. By default when we install Fedora core 3, th volume is set to zero. So we do not get the sound on soundcard detection. To increase the volume do "aumix" from terminal. & increase the volume & also both PCM1 & PCM2, you will get sound. But I did not got the answer that how to save these settings. I have to perform everytime I boot. So tell me procedure how to save these settings. Its related to some rs.local file in etc directory.
