Thanks for the correction, I understand now. I bought the December issue of PCQuest which also contains a DVD with Debian Sarge. Is this the same version as Pranab is offerening? If it is then is there a lot more sofware on the 9 ISO's (binaries) than on the PCQ DVD? I looked in the DVD and could not find information about which release it is - other than "sarge". > Hello , > The second ISO in the set of 15 seems to be corrupted.I tried > 'mount -o loop'ing it but didnt work. Then tried a few ISO related s/w > on it but, no luck. The rest are ok.Is there any other tool which i > upon could try > the ISO ? I am not just curious, I have been keen on getting Debian to install for quite a long time. I had not installed the stable version (woody r1) since I understood that it lagged far behind other distros (I don't mean to put it down, maybe that was just my ignorance) and I had a very limited internet connection. I now have a second (internet only) telephone line and I feel much more comfortable tackling debian since I now have some years of linux experience. One of the first distro's I tried to install was Debian potato about four years ago, but I never got it to work.
