those provided by suse 9.1 donot work as probably optimised
for 2.4 kernel.
Thanks in advance.

Subject: Re: [PLUG] Internal modem support linux?
Hi,I already mentioned that Turbo Linux is supporting the internal modem.> If a company has to sell a computer with a pre-loaded OS, they have to > make sure that all the components in that machine have to be supported > by that OSGood idea, maybe you (the OP) should call Compaq support......:website to get the phone number is www.hp.com (since HP bought/merged with it).
My question was, can it be supported by Mandrake linux?
I am already talking with company and it looks that they have very less idea
about linux, though they are selling pc with pre-loaded OS, linux.
Also, I think that it is not a good idea to take direct name of any company,
so I skip the name. And I know that pluggies are smart enough to understand
which pc it is.
So I don't want to divert discussion from internal modem support to company
support. I don't think this is the place to *discuss* those things.
Thanks for all suggestions. I will inform the list as soon as I get some solution.
regards, Manjusha
