OK, touche! I take it back. Maybe "explosion" was not an accurate choice of wording 8-P But let me give you one statistical sample; Me. When I had 33.6 dialup my Linux / Free software "usage" was very low. Once I got 4 mbps broadband (as it was back in 2001 in the US) my usage *did* explode. I was downloading all the latest distros and patches almost everyday. Alright it might not "explode" around the general population or even just the general population of people with broadband.
