I am not sure what 'laptop upgrades' you are looking for. I have
installed 10.1 MDK, the only notable feature being it runs on the stable
2.6.8.1 kernel. So it would be easier to download the patch (or source)
of the latest stable version and compile it. This is easier, faster and
cheaper than downloading 3 ISO images of 700 MB each !

Nevertheless you still have to tweak the 2.6.8.1 to support basic laptop
functionality like APM, ACPI and Wireless Tools/Support (note, this may
be easier if you are using relatively older notebooks i.e. the bulkier
generation of laptops)
