Package: udisks
Version: 1.0.1-1
Severity: normal
I use KDE, but as soon as I open a GTK dialog, like in Iceweasel to save
a file, these processes are launched :
root 30295 1 0 22:09 ? 00:00:00
/usr/lib/udisks/udisks-daemon
root 30296 30295 0 22:09 ? 00:00:00 udisks-daemon: polling
/dev/pktcdvd/0
And my CD tray does not want to stay open anymore.
If I kill the polling udisks-daemon or launch in a console :
# sudo udisks --inhibit-polling /dev/pktcdvd/0
The CD tray can stay open.
But it's not so practical, udisks stay in foreground, waiting for
Ctrl-C...
So :
- Why theses process are launched only with gnome/gtk file dialogs ?
- There will be/is a way to disable polling (#559562), but is it the
solution, its great to have the CD mounted as soon as it's closed...
