Fwiw, the processes started by systemd --user are not really interactive. See dconf for example. xterm is not started as a user service. I assume you meant the gnome-terminal-server.service user service, which is the background process and for which gnome-terminal is a frontend. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
