Currently installing kipi-plugins also installs libavahi-client3,
libavahi-common-data, libavahi-common3, libsane and libksane0; even though I
don't have a scaner o user avahi.
Me suggestion is separate the plugins that depend on sane into a
kipi-plugins-sane package.

Like Mark, I do not have the resources to work on making a lighter install for
digikam. I think, after 10 years, we have to acknowledge that this request is
never going to be fulfilled. For that reason, I am closing this bug. Very
sorry it could not be honoured.
