Hi David! I'm sorry for the lag: I planned to work on CL issues during DebConf8, but I then got distracted by other stuff [1].
Even if the issues WRT Maxima/GCL are AFAIK now solved, I'd like to avoid the same problem in the future. FYI, I cc:ed Camm Maguire, GCL maintainer. However, I'd like to see GCL maintained by Camm under the Debian Common Lisp Team umbrella: this doesn't necessarily mean that the team is physically maintaining the package, but that the package will conform to the forthcoming team policy/guideline and that in case of any problem, anyone in the team can (try to) solve the problem.
