I could reproduce this. For some reason, the configuration file is updated
during upgrade and this value is replaced. I'm going to look into this

I build the latest unstable package, installed them via "dpkg -i", made the
changes. Then I merged your template branch, built it and installed the
packages via "dpkg -i" again. Is this more or less the same thing you
did or did you upload the packages to a private mirror and updated then
via apt?
That quite close to what I do, I just build directly from aca_template
branch.
I found the reason, why SelfCheck wasn't preserved on upgrade: It was
the only option that missed a db_set in the config file.
I fixed this and also simplified the config files, so that such bugs
hopefully can be avoided more easily in the future.
While doing this simplification, I noticed another thing: the template
clamav-base/numinfo has to stay in clamav-base, because it is used in
common_function.
I fixed this as well.
Please test again and if you can't find more bugs, we can hopefully
merge this to unstable.
