In fact, there is one very important reason why to avoid GPL in PicoLisp: It is too complicated. Just look at the long discussions we had here, and probably thousands of other people around the world, trying to make sense out of it. Even the lawyers disagree, as the three Points of view in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPL#Linking_and_derived_works show. Totally against the spirit of PicoLisp. PicoLisp strives for Simplicity.
