I really hate that I have to reply to people directly, due to the crapload of autoresponders, so I've taken to harassing the owners of them on their own websites.

Every time anyone posts, we get around twenty auto responder messages from e-mail addresses like yours that were subscribed and forgotten about. Please unsubscribe from the list, or turn off your auto-responder, as you are filling our mailboxes with trash. Thanks CM Now, if everybody else here were to pick just one of those goddamn auto-responders and put in a little effort towards coercing them to unsubscribe, we might get somewhere. But it won't ever stop until some useless list admin decides to be useful, as these auto-responders are rendering our mailing list (a public service that at one point they must have utilized themselves) nearly useless.
