Thierry, Check to be sure that both:
1) the apache 'pid' file (? 'var/run/apache.pid ? ) -and- 2) the apache log files Have permissions sufficient to allow the Apache 'User' process to write to them. The 'make_sock' error is a classic for apache being unable to write the pid file. Lemme know...
