[PHP-INST] PHP with Oracle support

I am using php4 & apache 1.3.12 (rpms supplied with RedHat Linux 7). I
recently installed Oracle 8.1.6, how can I enable oci support in php? Do I
have to re-compile php or can I load oci liberies as a dso module?
